Amy Toscano, Licensed Acupuncturist

Amy Toscano

L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.

Hsueh-Lin (“Amy”) Toscano is a California State-certified and Nationally (NCCAOM) Certified Acupuncturist, specializing in the art of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). A mother of two, she was inspired to study Eastern medicine following her experiences with pregnancy and overcoming long-standing health issues that had no successful treatment under Western medicine.

Amy graduated summa cum laude from Emperor’s College of Oriental Medicine. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Yo San University specializing in Women’s Health and Reproductive Medicine. She completed a prestigious externship at the Disney Family Cancer Center for patients battling with advanced stages of cancer, also participated in a post-graduate externship PTSD clinic at the West Los Angeles V.A. Center. These experiences have deepened her commitment to compassionate, integrative care, shaping a holistic approach with a strong focus on pain management and emotional resilience.

In addition to her private practice, Amy serves as a Technical Supervisor at Yo San University’s Acupuncture Clinic and has also held the same role at Emperor’s College Community Acupuncture Clinic—two of the leading acupuncture schools in the region.

A Unique Path to Healing

Before pursuing Eastern medicine, Amy was an accomplished classical concert pianist. She performed internationally in Taiwan, Japan, Italy, Spain, and the United States, earning a gold medal at the 2002 Chopin Taipei International Piano Competition and performing with the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan. Her performances have also been broadcast on television and radio in Taiwan.

Today, that same discipline, focus, and deep appreciation for balance continue to shape her approach to healing and patient care.

AM Sunrise Acupuncture Studio

The Studio

The treatment space is intentionally designed to feel warm, restorative, and grounding—a place where patients can fully exhale. In addition to acupuncture, she incorporates red light therapy using AcuLuma, a non-invasive modality that supports circulation, cellular repair, and relaxation. Each session is thoughtfully curated to help calm the nervous system, enhance the effects of treatment, and support the body’s natural healing process—so patients leave feeling restored, not rushed.

Amy’s Approach

Root-Cause Healing

Rather than masking symptoms, Amy focuses on identifying and correcting the underlying Qi imbalances—such as stagnation, depletion, or blockage—that led to the condition in the first place. When the body’s systems are realigned, healing can occur naturally.

Intentional, Skilled Care

Every treatment is delivered with precision, care, and intention. Amy draws from acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, and herbal medicine to create the optimal physical, emotional, and energetic conditions for healing.

Integrative & Supporting

Patients often seek Amy’s care when conventional treatments haven’t provided relief—or as a complementary support alongside medical care. Her approach works in partnership with the body and with modern medicine to restore balance without unnecessary side effects.
